Small shifts can affect profound changes. The key is knowing precisely what to change and how to do it effectively. That is Sandra L. Stein’s expertise: identifying strengths and weaknesses within organizations and advising leaders on how to leverage their resources with subtle shifts that make a big difference.
Sandra’s hybrid training as a classic marketer and senior-level advisor make her a tremendous asset to individuals and organizations alike. Insightful, incisive, and proactive, Sandra is able to quickly identify which areas offer the greatest leverage and use these points to deliver lasting results.
Prior to joining Better Leaders, Inc. (BLI), Sandra was CEO of Talbott Teas. She launched the company, growing it into an appealing takeover prospect, ultimately resulting in its successful sale to Jamba Juice (incidentally, Sandra’s experience formed the basis for one of the most popular storylines on Shark Tank, the ABC show). Before that, Sandra was a food marketer, a career which culminated with a successful stint as Marketing Director for Godiva Chocolatier. Sandra has received a “Star” award for the successful turnaround of Kraft’s Jello brand, an Effie for extraordinary volume performance on Minute Rice, and “Agency of the Future” recognition from Adweek. She has launched and developed multiple start-ups, nurturing them to success.
At BLI, Sandra works with individual contributors and teams—helping them achieve their goals, strategize higher ones, and align with organizational objectives. “I love what I do,” says Sandra. “I’ve spent my whole life managing teams and building companies. My mission is to use that knowledge to help other leaders achieve the success already embedded in their company’s DNA.”
Sandra received her M.B.A. from Boston University’s Graduate School of Management, and her B.A. from Douglass College (Rutgers). She is an Adjunct Lecturer at Fordham’s Graduate School of Management. Select clients include: CBS, Bayer, Citicorp, Columbia University, Infosys, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft, Lever, Ocean Spray, Reckitt –Benkiser, Showtiime, The Smithsonian Institute, Tweezerman International and The US Mint. Sandra has worked internationally in Europe, India and South Africa.
She currently serves on the Leadership Committee of the Marketing Executives Networking Group (MENG) and as Chairman of its Brand Ambassador Program. She is on the Advisory Committee for the Board of FEGS, one of the largest and most diversified not-for-profit health and human services organizations in the US. She is a sought-after global business judge and public speaker.
