James E. Fagan, Jr.Jim Fagan brings 35+ years of leadership experience including executive positions in sales, operations, private equity and wealth management. Jim has led companies, divisions, and teams from start-ups to Fortune 500 Companies.

Jim’s career path includes strategic management, leadership in international sales and operations, private equity and wealth management. In addition to his professional training and development, he brings hands-on experience and success in his coaching and mentoring engagements. Jim has developed a well earned reputation in new business development and team building as well as guiding C-suite executives in the demanding challenges today’s business environment creates. Better Leaders’ clients rely on Jim’s coaching to help them navigate from working with boards and shareholders to leading dynamic talent through scenario planning and strategic change management.

Prior to joining Better Leaders, Jim served as as Managing Director of International Sales and Operations for RR Donnelley Financial and then as CEO for Bowne Global Solutions(BGS), successfully leading its transformation to a leader in global application translations culminating in its eventual merger and sale to Lionbridge, Inc. While CEO for BGS, Jim was concurrently Chief Strategy Officer for the parent company Bowne & Co., Jim then went on to a successful career in Wealth Management., building and leading teams for BNY Mellon and TD Bank. He holds FINRA licenses 7, 66 and 24.

Jim has served as a active board member and officer for non-profit organizations and institutions including the New York chapter of the American Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, York College, a senior CUNY college, and the Madden Business School of LeMoyne College. He has also advised private equity firms, including serving as an active advisor for Frontenac Company as a CEO First executive partner and as a board member for one of Frontenac’s privately held companies, Encore Legal Solutions.

Jim’s Education includes a BA from LeMoyne College, an MA from St. John’s University in New York and AMP Certification in International Management from Harvard Business School.
